Seven day delay
by Nathan on Nov.30, 2009, under EVE
Last night I bought the Large Beam Specialization skill for my main and tried to inject it.
Tried. I thought I’d trained Sharpshooter 5 earlier but that wasnt so. Now I have a 7 day delay before I can fit T2 Tachyons on the Nightmare.
I was about to buy a nice Shield Boost Amp but I had to invest in a cloaky hauler for my alt which set me back a little…
Amarr Cruiser V
by Nathan on Nov.05, 2009, under EVE
This week, Amarr Cruiser V was done.
I’ve been wanting to skill it for over a year but one skill or the other always was more important. But not anymore, I took the plunge and did the time.
So I bought a Curse last night and fitted it for gang work, even left out one of my cornerstones and left the point off it in favour of more tank.
Have yet to field test it but I think it will be nice to fly. Will try to post my fitting later.
Fly safe.
Another milestone
by Nathan on Feb.03, 2009, under EVE
I noticed I had 15 of 18 skills in the Drones skill group. I was missing the Advanced Drone Interfacing and two specialization skills, Amarr and Caldari.
Said and done, I’m now officially fully stocked in the Drone group! 18 of 18 skills learned, now, all I haveto do is skill them…
Finally!

09:45:16 Notify Training of the skill Amarr Carrier lvl 1 has been completed.
I can finally fly an Archon, but I will get one in about 40 days since I’m second in line for one at the local arms dealer.
Now I haveto continue with the support skills:
- Jump Drive Operation V
- Jump Drive Calibration IV
- Jump Fuel Conservation IV
- Capital Remote Armor Repair
- Fighters IV
- Advanced Drone Interface
- Amarr Carrier IV
I think I’ll be done in the end of April.
A change at last
by Nathan on Jan.21, 2009, under EVE
Today, when I started EVEMon, my main who skills for carrier at long last had less days left of the skill than my alt who trains general Engineering skills for shield tanking. This is a welcome change, I’ve been skilling for Amarr BS V since before christmas with a couple of brief stops in the Science department.
I almost have ISK for the upcoming skill, Amarr Carrier which is 450 M ISK but then I haveto grind like a mofo for the cost of the carrier, about 700 M ISK. And then they tell me the fighters are really expensive…
Halfway house?
by Nathan on Dec.15, 2008, under EVE
Last week, I bought a new skill. Capital ships and it was the most expensive thing that I ever bought in EVE and now I’m very poor.
Yesterday, I trained Capital Ships and now I’m one big step closer to sitting in that Archon. Immediately, I started on Amarr Battleship V but it’s 36 days away. Even so, that gives me about a month to rat together the 450 M ISK that is needed for the Amarr Carrier skill.
After that I haveto start finetuning my jump drive skills and the RR-capabilities of my carrier to be.
I have Cybernetics II, I’m thinking of skilling to Cybernetics IV and buying +4 implants for one of my clones. That would save more than a day on Amarr Battleship V alone and about 7 days in total on my carrier skillplan.
Revised skillplan

My alt has been accepted into a pirate corp and my main is from now on the delegated money maker in the family. I’ve been thinking alot about how to start making money in a good way with my main.
Well, it has put the carrier plans on hold a bit, I need to sharpen a few skills before I get there.
The first step to world domination is the social skills, since I run quite a lot of missions. The connection skills and stuff are trained as we speak. After that I’m thinking of getting Salvage V to maximize yield from my missions, salvage is a pretty good source of income, even today.
Lastly I think I’ll finish the line of skilling I once started with regarding R&D-agents. I currently have one running, but with a weeks worth of skilling, I think I can up that to atleast three. Granted, the money isn’t what they used to be in datacores, but a million here and there is quite a lot even today.
Move done and fridaynight frigate fight booked
by Nathan on Oct.31, 2008, under EVE
Last night I finished moving my pirate’s ships down to the new staging point. Now I haveto buy a couple of new blackbirds to her and fly them down there too, I have a feeling that I will be loosing a helluvalot of ships during the coming month.
My carebear is slogging away at the carrier career, BS IV is finishing within 14 hrs and then I’m thinking about taking a break and raising some of my social skills, since raising Social and Military connections would give me another 25% Loyalty Points. I’ve seen how that works for a corpmate and he’s got a Navy Apoc pretty soon.
As a extra curricular activity, we’ve booked a frigatefight tonight in our indycorp, just a bloody 1-on-1 battle with frigates and T1-fittings.
The rules we will try are:
- T1 ships, fittings and drones
- No rigs
- All fighting is within 50 km from a jetcan, flying outside 50 km
- Spectators are 100km from the jetcan
- Buy in is 1 M ISK, winner takes it all
Chewing away at the bone
by Nathan on Oct.20, 2008, under EVE
I decided to skill towards Carrier before the summer and I’ve been more or less skilling for an Archon since then. T2 Heavy Drones and Drone Interfacing 5 was two long skills that took about the whole summer to complete, now I have two more in line, Battleship 5 and Advanced Spaceship Command 5 to do, about 6 more days. After that I have all the skills for the capital modules, repairer and projectors.
